Important Information for Participants:
The Kla Ha Ya Days parade is an event loved by everyone from little children to grandmas and grandpas. After all, who can resist brightly colored outfits, beautifully decorated vehicles, and cheering fans?
- Entry Deadline: We will be accepting entries until July 10th, 2024. Day of registration is available- however you will be at the end of the lineup.
- Line-Up Details: Line-up begins at 8:30 a.m. Sign in at First St. & Alder Avenue. to receive your line-up number and location. All entries should be in place by 9:45 a.m.
- Judging: Performances for the judges, located on the South side of 1st St. at Ave. A, should last no longer than 1 minute. Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each category will be announced immediately following the parade.
- Safety and Decorum: For the safety of all, there will be no throwing of items from parade vehicles. Items must be handed out directly to spectators. Parade Marshals will enforce this rule strictly, along with monitoring parade flow to avoid gaps.
- Awards: Certificates and formal awards will be distributed at the announcer’s stand, with formal awards mailed post-even

- Entry Fee: This year introduces an entry fee for all participants due to rising costs. $50 for commercial, $25 for Non-profit/Non- commercial, $500 for political.
- Vehicle Requirements: All vehicles must be decorated. A maximum of 5 vehicles per entry is allowed. Add $10.00 to fee if more than 2 vehicles in entry.
- Crowd Interaction: To ensure child safety, distribute candy and flyers by hand at the edge of the crowd. A clean-up fee applies for flyer and candy distribution. Distribution of Candy or Flyers (or both) $25.00 clean up fee
